Can you turn liquid hand soap into foaming soap?

Yes! You can turn liquid hand soap into foaming soap. I have found that the perfect ratio is to add 25% liquid soap to 75% water.

Is homemade foaming hand soap effective?

This homemade foaming hand soap is just as effective as the store-bought brands, with fewer ingredients that are cleaner for you and your family.

What makes foaming soap foam?

Foaming soap pumps contain a special mechanism that combines air with the soapy water, which creates foam as you pump it out.

It only takes a few ingredients and a special pump to make your own foaming soap.

How to make foaming hand soap directions

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Add soap to foaming hand soap container until container is about 1/4 of the way full
  2. Gently add water in a small stream so that soap is not agitated until container is mostly full
  3. Add a few drops of essential oils (optional)
  4. Add foaming pump top
  5. Gently swirl the container to combine soap and water without causing foam to form in the container

Is foaming hand soap better than regular hand soap?

As a mom, I have found that foaming soap is perfect for getting kids to wash their hands well. Not only is the foam more fun, but the visual foam helps them see the spots that didn’t get cleaned.

I also like how foaming soap doesn’t waste so much soap when kids are washing up. It’s pre-diluted, which really saves money.

Another reason I love this simple DIY is that castile soap is very gentle on your skin. Whether it is a harsh winter month or a dry summer day, I know that my skin won’t be harmed with this foaming hand soap.

Why you should make your own foaming hand soap at home

I prefer to make my own foaming hand soap for a few reasons:

  1. It’s cost-effective! Castile soap is so affordable, and it’s multipurpose: I can use it for so many cleaning products around my home.
  2. I can customize the smell with my preferred essential oils
  3. When you are able to make your own hand soap, you control what goes in it. I love knowing that we are avoiding any harsh chemicals and nasty additives that may cause harm to my family in the long run.
