Linen spray
It’s fun to spritz some of this linen spray on before going to sleep. Or, you can spray the sheets when you’re putting clean bedding on the bed.

When choosing essential oils to use, you’ll want to stick with calming oils that help to promote sleep and relaxation. My favorites oils are lavender, chamomile, vetiver, and blends like Sweet Sleep or Relax from Plant Therapy.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup vodka
- 80 drops essential oil
Instructions:
- Add essential oils to a 4 fl. oz. spray bottle.
- Pour in vodka to fill bottle the rest of the way.
- Shake to combine.
Air freshener
This one is great to keep in the kitchen or bathroom to get rid of any funky smells. It also works great anywhere you need a fresher smell. The inside of shoes, cars, and other closed up places are good places to spray some of this air freshener. Essential oils for getting rid of smelly smells can include any clean smelling oils, like citrus or pine oils. I like the Deodorizing blend from Plant Therapy.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup vodka
- 80 drops essential oils
Instructions:
- Add essential oils to a 4 fl. oz. spray bottle.
- Pour in vodka to fill bottle the rest of the way.
- Shake to combine.
Multipurpose Cleaner
Bring some fresh and clean into your home with this easy multipurpose cleaner spray. It’s great for cleaning away dirt and grime, and also disinfects at the same time. Some good essential oil choices for this essential oil spray recipe would be tea tree or lemon. I also like the Germ Fighter blend from Plant Therapy.
The method for making this recipe is a little different from the other two. Since it is a surface spray, I’m using a lighter dilution of essential oils, and water instead of vodka. I’m also adding a drop of dish soap to help the oils emulsify into the water better.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups water
- 80 drops essential oils
- 1 drop dish soap
Instructions:
- Add essential oils and dish soap to a 16 fl. oz. spray bottle.
- Pour in water to fill bottle the rest of the way.
- Shake to combine.
